Biography
Komijani Nicolas Eric (b. 2014) began studying piano at the age of seven at the “George Enescu” National College of Music in Bucharest. Despite his young age, he has already performed in numerous competitions and concerts across Romania, Germany, Italy, and Spain, gradually building a promising international artistic profile.
In 2026, he was awarded Third Prize at the inaugural Vigo International Piano Competition in Spain, where he advanced to the final among young pianists from several countries.
That same year, he made his international recital debut at Burg Namedy in Andernach, Germany, at the invitation of Her Highness the Princess of Hohenzollern.
Following his success at the Romanian Piano Cup, where he was evaluated by a jury of 39 professors from across Romania, he also made his debut at the Romanian Athenaeum, one of the country’s most prestigious concert halls.
A laureate of several national and international piano competitions, Eric has further enriched his artistic development through masterclasses with renowned concert pianists including Valerian Shiukashvili, Mauricio Vallina, Aimo Pagin, Yuking Chou Brandenburgh, and Lilia Boyadjieva. These experiences have contributed to the development of his musical sensitivity, refined tone, clarity of voicing, and a remarkable musical maturity for his age.
His performances are distinguished by sincerity, emotional depth, refined musical expression, and a natural connection with the audience.
